An alternate source of power is necessary for U.K

United Kingdom is facing a strong problem, which is related to the source of power. People have an idea that the United Kingdom is one of the most powerful countries in the world. However, a sufficient dearth of energy is created today and power has to be imported from other nations. Many people are not aware of the fact. It is seen that the U. K has imported more than 5 % of the electric power that is consumed by the people within the country.

Three major nations, chiefly in France, Ireland and Netherland have contributed to the power supply. Amongst them, France has contributed the most. The electricity has been purchased at a steeper price and people have paid more than the amount they used to pay in their own country. In adverse situations, like the blackout period there must be an alternate source of power to generate electricity, as this scenario cannot continue for long. The alternate source of power will also be beneficial in case there is a drop in the grid voltage or some type of fault in the transmission line.

Solar energy can be converted to electric energy. The concept is used in solar cookers, solar water heaters, solar lamps, etc. This happens as the instrument has solar cells, which absorbs the solar energy. Although, it seems to be very beneficial, yet the process is difficult to follow in countries like U.K, as it is hardly possible to get sunlight round the year. This method is a good source to provide an alternate source of energy. But, it is not applicable to countries like United Kingdom.
